For customers that require modifications to their vehicle to accommodate their physical disabilities, Hennessy Honda provides a reimbursement of up to $1,000 for each eligible Woodstock, GA, area customer to help cover installation expenses.

Adapting Your Vehicle

Customers can follow these five steps when considering adapting their vehicle:

  • Check your state's driver's license requirements.
  • Determine what modifications you will need.
  • Pick the perfect vehicle - consult with your evaluator, a certified installer, and Hennessy Honda.
  • Choose a qualified installer and obtain training on how to use the new vehicle. After completing this step, submit an application for assistance for up to $1,000 of credit.

Program Requirements

Most customers will qualify, but there are some guidelines to follow. Reimbursement is only available for original owners, and the modifications must be for either the purchaser or their immediate family. The program is only available for new vehicles purchased or leased in the United States, and modifying leased vehicles may be subject to written lessor approval.

Installation must be completed within the time and mileage limits of the vehicle's New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and the reimbursement request must be submitted within six months of the adaptations. Aside from wheelchair/scooter hoists and ramps, alterations require a prescription or medical documentation to be eligible for reimbursement. Finally, all modifications made must be performed by NHTSA-registered businesses or individuals and must be on the list of approved NHTSA exemptions.
